With the help of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Pentredŵr community has written a book covering the history of all of the houses in the Pentredŵr area. With over 250 pages of maps, pictures, historic records, and descriptions, the book is composed of contributions by almost 80 members of the community under the editorial stewardship of David Crane.

We are raising match-funding for our Calon Pentredŵr project via gofundme https://www.gofundme.com/f/calon-pentredwr

Calon Pentredŵr is a plan to enhance our outdoor space by repairing the retaining walls so that we can make better use of our beautiful surroundings.

Pentredŵr and District Community Association is a charity and the facility at Pentredŵr is dedicated to providing a place for the community to meet and hold events. Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund / Cronfa Gymunedol, major building work at Pentredŵr Community Centre has recently been completed.

Digging at Pentredwr Community Centre

Pentredwr Community Association has been fortunate to get Lottery Funding. Firstly, to modernise the building and secondly, to repair and improve the grounds. So, thank you to anyone who buys Lottery tickets.

Initially started through a grant from DVSC our Maker Days every Friday from 10am to 4pm have been running for a year now! For just £2 for the day we provide a warm and comfortable space for making and conversation. People bring what ever projects they are working on.

In 1909 soon after Pentredwr School first opened a whole village photo was taken.

In 1999 just before the millennium another village photo was arranged in the same spot in the school yard.

In 2019 we did it again!

The Community in Pentredwr has come up with a way to continue with some of the valuable social activities that would normally take place in the community centre but have not been happening since the Lock Down came into effect in March.
